Pottery Barn Turned Our Nursery Dreams into Reality

We had so much fun designing Josi’s nursery. We knew her furniture would be hers for years to come. That factor caused us to purchase timeless pieces for her room. There are numerous places to go and accessories to check out. Luckily for us, we fell in love with the furniture we found at Pottery Barn Kids. I am a very visual person, so having the ability to see our choices set up in the store was a godsend.

If you love Pottery Barn as much as I do, I highly suggest ordering all your furniture while at a Pottery Barn store. We received 20% off our purchases. I was told that typically discounts could not be used for furniture purchased online. I also suggest you subscribe to their email list. You will automatically get 10% off by merely signing up. Pottery Barn also tends to offer 20% off discounts throughout the year for their email subscribers.

Convertible Crib

We chose the Larkin 4-in-1 Convertible Crib since, eventually, it will convert into her bed. Since we plan on having more children, we initially thought we should purchase a crib without the conversion factor. However, since our baby’s nursery will be her room for a years to come, we decided it a convertible crib was the way to go. Now, we won’t have to worry about rushing to find a bed when Josi figures out she is big enough to climb out.

The Cameron Wall System

We knew we needed more storage options since our house lacks storage space. We decided to buy the Cameron Wall System (see image below). This wall system allows you to choose whatever storage piece you’d want. All the elements are individually purchased. This will enable you to arrange the wall system however you’d like. I also love how we can buy new sections and interchange our current pieces as Josi gets older.

The Cameron Wall System is one of my favorite pieces in her room. Our daughter will be able to use it for years to come. The drawers are deep, which allows us to utilize all the space and the cubby holes are large enough to hold whatever else we need to store.

Dresser and Topper Set

Josi’s nursery has a tiny closet, so we knew we had to add a dresser to our list. The Fillmore Extra Wide Dresser and Topper Set was the perfect find for us. The changing pad and covers are sold separately, but worth the money. We chose to order extra pad coverings since things are bound to get messy from time to time. The Topper Set comes with the dresser and can easily be removed when our diaper changing days are over. The drawer space below the changing table is also convenient. We store most of her onesies and such in the drawers below the changing set. This is incredibly convenient for those unexpected clothing changes.

Etsy and Pottery Barn Decor

Accessories

Our nursery decor came from many different places, and many of my favorite pieces were gifted to her. The Jumbo Crepe Pink Flowers Set, Wall Art, and Elephant Rocker came from Pottery Barn. The Elephant Hamper and Dumbo painting were gifts. And Josi’s customized name sign and wall letters are from Etsy. Keep in mind that Etsy’s shipping dates can vary. So if you are anything like me and want all the decor before your baby’s arrival, plan accordingly.
