Pottery Barn Turned Our Nursery Dreams into Reality

We had so much fun designing Josi’s nursery. Since we knew her furniture would be hers for years to come, we made our selections by choosing timeless pieces for her room. There are numerous places to go and accessories to check out, but luckily for us, we fell in love with the furniture we found at Pottery Barn Kids. I am a very visual person, so being able to see a lot of our choices set up in the store was truly a godsend.

If you love Pottery Barn as much as I do, I highly suggest ordering all your furniture while at a Pottery Barn store. We were given 20% off the day we made our purchases and I was told that normally discounts cannot be used for furniture purchased online. I also suggest you subscribe to their email list. You will automatically get 10% off by simply signing up and Pottery Barn tends to offer 20% off discounts throughout the year for their email subscribers.

Convertible Crib

We chose the Larkin 4-in-1 Convertible Crib simply because eventually, it will convert into her bed. We went back and forth about whether to buy a regular crib or a convertible option. Since we plan on having more children, we originally thought we should just purchase a crib that didn’t convert but since Josi’s nursery will be her room for a while, we decided it made the most sense to buy a crib that would eventually turn into her bed. Now, we won’t have to worry about rushing to find a bed when Josi figures out she is big enough to climb out and we also know it will fit in her room.

The Cameron Wall System

We knew we needed more storage options since our house lacks storage space. We decided to buy the Cameron Wall System (see image below) which allowed us to choose what storage pieces we wanted. All the pieces come separately so you can arrange the wall system however you’d like. I also love how we can buy new sections and interchange our current pieces as Josi gets older. This is one of my favorite pieces in her room and she will be able to use it for years to come. The drawers are deep which allows us to utilize all the space and the cubby holes are large enough to hold whatever else we need to store.

Dresser and Topper Set

Josi’s nursery has a very small closet so we knew we had to add a dresser to our list. The Fillmore Extra Wide Dresser and Topper Set was exactly what we were looking for. The changing pad and covers are sold separately and we chose to order extra covers since things are bound to get messy from time to time. The Topper comes with the dresser but can easily be removed when our diaper changing days are over. The drawer space below the changing table is also convenient for those quick and unexpected diaper changes.

Etsy and Pottery Barn Decor

Accessories

Josi’s nursery decor came from many different places and many of my favorites were actually gifted to her. Her Jumbo Crepe Pink Flowers Set, Wall Art and Elephant Rocker came from Pottery Barn and Josi’s customized name sign and wall letters are from Etsy. Keep in mind that Etsy’s shipping dates can vary so if you are anything like me and want all the decor before your baby’s arrival, plan accordingly. The Elephant Hamper and Dumbo painting were gifts, however, I am unable to link the painting because it was made just for Josi.
