My First Mommy Getaway
After my daughter turned one, I told my husband I wanted to plan a ‘Mommy Getaway’ and San Francisco was the perfect spot. One of my besties moved to San Fran years ago so I had the ultimate tour guide. We drank wine at the park while staring at the Painted Ladies and had the most amazing food from friend’s favorite spots. I’ll admit, I cried the day I left because my ‘mom guilt’ finally set in, but once we arrived, I knew this trip was exactly what the doctor ordered. I truly feel as though every mom needs some time away. I was able to recharge and find a piece of myself again.
Layering is Key in Napa Valley
In February, I went on a trip of a lifetime to San Fran which included a little mini getaway to Napa Valley. I’ve been dying to visit Napa so being able to go during my first Mommy Getaway was everything I wanted and more. Luckily for me, the weather was beyond gorgeous and temperatures were unseasonably high. I quickly found that this trip was all about the layering game. When the sun is out, it can be very warm so being able to add or remove layers is key.
I am obsessed with my Johnny Was jogger pants. They are so comfortable and can easily be dressed up or down. Unfortunately, these bad boys went fast but you can check out some other options by Johnny was here. My Louis Vuitton scarf was gifted to me last year from my Husband but below I linked other scarf options to get a similar look. My over-alls are from Anthropologie and are still available.
